Centurion Parade Zine/Art Book

I woke up and five weeks had passed.

Centurion Parade is a visual memoir about severe psychosis, memory, and finding meaning in a profound experience. Through flash nonfiction and illustration, it traces visions and delusions as they were experienced then—and as they are understood now.

Each vision or delusion is encapsulated in a page or paragraph, paired with both its original illustration and an updated version. Creating this work has allowed me to look back at the experience without allowing it to remain an identity.

Centurion Parade: Books 1 & 2 brings together the original Book 1, first released in 2017 as a tiny, home-printed zine bound with a paperclip and rubber band, and the previously unreleased Book 2.

This new edition has been revised, redesigned, and assembled as a squarebound, semi-gloss booklet—giving the work the physical form it always deserved.
